Finding the right flight instructor for you is not as easy as picking out a new shirt. Your learning style, the instructor's teaching style, and personalities all need to fit together so that you can get the most out of your instruction time. I try to use varied approaches to help you understand in a way that will click for you, not a cookie cutter method. Let's find out how I can help you in your aviation journey!
Flight Instruction
Whether you've never been in a small airplane before, or you grew up around the smell of AvGas, you are a great candidate to become a pilot. It's going to take a bit of time, but we can work around time and financial constraints to help you get your wings.Â
Flight Reviews
The FAA mandates that every 2 years, a pilot receive one hour of ground instruction and one hour of flight instruction. I am one who tries to save money every chance I get, but I also want to get what I pay for. I provide quality flight reviews, not just a signature in your log book. Even if you fly every week, there may be some new updates to the FARs since your last Flight Review, or some techniques that could make your flights smoother and more enjoyable. I utilize a teaching method that will force you to think about flying rather than just putting your brain on auto-pilot. You'll get what you pay for!
Instrument Instruction
If you are a private pilot, you might feel that you got cheated. You learned so much about weather, only to find out that you can't fly in most of it! My grandfather felt that frustration, and he encouraged me to get my instrument rating. While there are still days where the weather will prevent you from enjoying the beauty of aviation, the days are fewer with an instrument rating. If you already have your Private Pilot Certificate, I'd love to help you expand your options by adding your instrument rating!
Rates
I know, I know, it's bad form to talk about the money side, but if you're like me, you prefer to know the cost of something going in. I currently provide flight instruction at a rate of $40/hr and ground instruction at $25/hr.
